INQUIRE

Marta NADOLLE (b. 1989) lives and works in Warsaw, Poland. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 2014 she received a diploma in the Painting studio headed by Professor Jarosław Modzelewski and the studio of
Art in the Public Space headed by Professor Mirosław Duchowski.

The topics she addresses in her art feature: love, alienation, adolescence, intimacy and personal relationships, human emotions. In her work, painter Marta NADOLLE processes today's cityscape as a form of contemporary veduta, weaving her immediate urban reality in with inspirations drawn from folk culture. In setting together these seemingly disparate elements and customs, she crosses the line between what is central and what is peripheral, between the public and private. She creates a space in which stories of the big city are blended with the authenticity and intimacy of traditional craftwork and folklore.

NADOLLE is a vedutist painter who captures the emotional landscape of the metropolis, whose population is not merely content with a portion of bread and circuses. Instead, their desires are replete with the need for intimacy and a wave of emotional tranquility.
